easy-LAM IFL: Innovative laminator for glass lamination

The increasing glazing of buildings and the resulting higher requirements increase the demand for laminated glass enormously. For a more efficient and faster production, we developed a new type of process for the lamination of laminated safety glass and smart windows: the IFL process. By integrating the inline flat lamination process, offline processes in new or existing lines are reduced significantly.

Powerful autoclave-free glass lamination with the easy-LAM IFL

With our easy-LAM IFL glass laminator, we replace the conventional autoclave process including prelamination with a multi-stage lamination process and guarantee significantly faster glass lamination processes. Energy-efficient operation, short cycle times and significantly reduced manpower requirements are just a fraction of the advantages of the easy-LAM IFL compared to today's lamination of glasses such as laminated safety glass, smart windows and BIPV.

Preparation of lamination and batching

The glasses are transferred from the laying area to the infeed conveyor of the easy-LAM IFL. There, the machine operators form the glass batches, which are easily positioned via ball rollers. The laying pattern of the batches is checked via the camera system above the conveyor and adjusted again if necessary.

Evacuation and (pre)lamination

In the first step of the three-stage lamination process, the glass structures are evacuated via the integrated vacuum system and then prelaminated. The heated flat press prevents possible edge overpressing and ensures fast and efficient lamination through contact heat transfer.

Final lamination

Following evacuation and prelamination, the batch is fed into the second flat press. In the case of crosslinking films, crosslinking takes place in this step and the lamination of the glass structures is completed. As in step 1, edge overpressing is prevented by the flat press.

Controlled cooling of the glasses

In order to rule out possible breaks in the glass or other possible production defects during cooling, the glasses are cooled in a controlled manner in another flat press. Another advantage is that the glass can then be processed directly at ambient temperature.

Equipment platform (optional)

As space-saving additional equipment, we offer an equipment platform above the flat presses. This allows the line periphery as well as the heating units, vacuum pump and control cabinets to be placed above the line instead of next to it.
