System automation through robot technology
In all Bürkle product segments for surface technology, system automation has been an important project planning focus for many years. Traditionally Bürkle has a high level of competence in the field of all kinds of applications for workpiece manipulation. Besides the expansion of automation solutions in linear technology, the Freudenstadt plant manufacturer has broadened its development strategy. In the future the company will increasingly use robot technology. At the Ligna, Bürkle will present its cooperation with a renowned global player in the robotics sector in 2 automated production cells.
Spray painting in combination with line periphery
The well-known machines of the ROBUSeco and ROBUSpro lines will be presented in Hanover with further developments and innovations in process technology. Faster, more economical, more efficient are the core topics. Faster colour change is made possible by the optional integration of a colour change system. The paint losses during colour changes are very low. By using different colour circuits, different types of paint can be processed separately.
In rotary lacquering, Bürkle combines high speed (up to 20 m/min) with efficient processing. Despite these high feed speeds, the machine runs very smoothly (approx. 20 rpm = approx. 125 m/min circumferential speed). The automatic gun tracking system ("Gun tracking") enables a perfect coating quality even at the edge.
In the entry level segment Bürkle completes the ROBUSeco series with a new handling system for semi-automatic loading and unloading of workpieces.
Digital Printing Technology
Greater flexibility, the implementation of customer wishes and the desire for more differentiation - with this objective, the group of companies is presenting 2 single-pass inkjet printers for wood decor printing at the Ligna with a strong, internationally active partner. This premiere offers a unique application spectrum for many wood-based substrates.
Interdisciplinary engineering, 4.0 functionalities
Within the framework of its project 'Mechatronics 2022', the group of companies is implementing interdisciplinary engineering. One component of the project is the process for generating a digital twin of a real plant to be built. This enables a virtual commissioning as well as a plant simulation in real time. The approach of the digital twin offers Bürkle's market partners a wide range of benefits, among others the reduction of the commissioning time and thus of the project lead times. At the same time, the product quality increases due to verified machine behavior at the simulator and a reduction of the effort and duration of prototype tests in the factory.
Bürkle 4U, Technology Arena 4U
Smart Surface Technology is one of the focal themes of the Ligna. With the solutions presented in the "Bürkle Technology Arena" for this sector, the company comprehensively presents its service portfolio in the field of digitalization, automation and the ever increasing individualization. With the "4U-orientation" to the requirements of the market partners, Bürkle started a successful way 4 years ago in Hanover. This year it is consistently continued with Smart Surface Technology 4U.
