BÜRKLE presents its new UV curing technology at LIGNA 2025

10.05.2025 - At this year's LIGNA, Robert Bürkle GmbH presents the ‘easy-Coater ultrafoil’, a new generation of UV surface finishing that impresses with maximum flexibility, compact design and high process reliability. The innovative compact system was specially developed to meet the demanding requirements of modern surfaces (super matt, soft touch or high gloss) without the use of excimer technology or cost-intensive nitrogen.

The centrepiece of the systems is the ultrafoil process: A simply primed surface is rolled over with a UV lacquer layer, which is then cured under a special transfer foil with UV radiation. The key feature here is that the film selected determines the final properties of the surface. This means that both super-matt and high-gloss surfaces can be realised on one and the same system in a very short time. A simple film change is all it takes to create completely different effects.

Reliable and cost-efficient

The easy-Coater ultrafoil enables the production of high-quality surfaces with exceptional durability, which could previously only be achieved using complex processes such as electron beam curing. The complex basic structure of classic high-gloss systems is no longer required, which is a clear advantage in terms of efficiency, costs and ease of use.

With a particularly small footprint and reduced process steps, the system is ideal for companies with limited space or for getting started with UV surface finishing.Its high level of flexibility also makes it perfect for changing design and quality requirements in furniture and interior design, doors, panels and other applications.
