Staining and oiling

In the first step, stains and oils are applied with our specially developed roller coating machines. Brushing and partial curing are carried out by the downstream BÜRKLE brushing machines and the energy-saving UV system easy-Cure.

Filling

After initial priming, the BÜRKLE filler applicator is used to ensure a perfectly prepared surface. This is followed by another intermediate sanding on the sanding machine, which is fully integrated in the software.

Primer and top coat

To finalize the coating with another base coat and the top coat, three additional BÜRKLE roller applicators and the UV dryers required for curing are used. Subsequently, the coated parquet floorboards are manually removed from the line.

Fully automatic feeding

The line is fed via a fully automatic feeding and vacuum insertion system. Despite the high cycle rate, the panels can thus be gently fed into the system directly from the pallet. The vacuum gripper developed for this concept also guarantees reliable separation and precise alignment.

Jet drying technology

In order to achieve the best possible surface results on the large-format plates, our high-performance easy-Dry JET dryers are used in this line. The 2300mm working width enables reliable drying results even at high production speeds.

Top coat application

The high-performance DRUMA HP decor printing machines are used in the coating line to print the wood grains on the thin-film panels. The panels pre-coated from the first line of the line receive the final surface coating in the second line.

Fully automatic stacking

The finished coated boards are fully automatically stacked on pallets in the last position of the line and transported away. The stacking system consists of several stacking pits with integrated scissor lift table, which automatically adjusts the required height positions.

IR preheating tunnel

To increase the surface temperature of the concrete slabs, the BÜRKLE IR preheating channel easy-Dry IR 1300 is used at the beginning of the line. This gives the concrete slabs the optimum coating temperature and preparation for the best possible coating results.

First coating step

In the first coating step, a UV base coat is applied to the workpiece surface by roller application. The concrete slabs then pass through our pendulum spraying system to receive the second coating. This is followed by energy-saving drying in the easy-Cure UV 1300 UV dryer.

Second coating step

The second coating unit, consisting of a roller coater and a UV dryer, applies another UV coating. This gives the concrete slabs their final top coat and they are ready for further processing.

Buffer storage with 11 floors

In order to be able to react to malfunctions in the subsequent production processes, a simple buffer storage is integrated in the BÜRKLE coating line. Thus, even in case of malfunctions, the line can produce further batches until the malfunctions are eliminated.

High-performance coating and printing line for the coating of wood-based panels

Automatic feeding

The wood panels are fed into the system fully automatically. By means of a vacuum mechanism, the boards are separated from the stack and pushed onto the motorized roller conveyor. The full/empty pallets can be supplied and removed by forklift truck via heavy-duty roller conveyors.

Panel cleaning and priming

After feeding into the plant, the workpiece surfaces are first cleaned by a brushing machine and preheated by a jet dryer. Hairline cracks or veneer joints are filled using our RCF combination rolling machine. The surfaces are primed with our RCL roller coaters.
